"Mind Over Matter:" The shortest summarization of how the universe tends to work. Our minds have the power to create the outcome of a situation, without us even knowing. If we want something to happen badly enough, it is bound to happen. The only real problem, is that even if we will for a positive outcome, our conscious minds cannot escape negative thoughts. That's where sigils come in handy.
Sigils can be used to bypass the negativity completely. Sigils are symbols made to represent our intent on something. Making your own sigils is quite simple, really. Here's how:
Step 1 - Making the Sigil
First off, we want to write down our statement of intent. Say I wanted to be a better public speaker, for example: I would write or type out: "I will be a better public speaker."
Here, we want to reduce this statement to as few letters as possible by taking out vowels, and letters that repeat themselves, so we would then have these letters: "WLBTRPCSK"
(Note: If you have a really long statement, you could simply remove all letters but the first in each word. The idea isn't really about which letters are kept, it's just about creating a unique image that we can associate with what we want.)
We then want to create an image using the remaining letters. There is a near-limitless amount of possibilities of the image you can create, so don't just settle on your first design, sketch out a few different ones and see which one you like best. The first sigil I made went through about 20 or so different concepts.
A good example (in case you may be confused) for how a sigil may look is the popular fantasy writer "John Ronald Reuel Tolkien," or commonly known as "J.R.R. Tolkien." His logo is compiled of his initials all amalgamated to look like one letter.

Step 2 - Banishing the Sigil
This step may sound odd, but it is necessary. You need to forget about the sigil. Once it's been created, it will be activated soon, we've created it, and determined it's purpose. Now we just need to believe it will work and let it do it's job. A common method is to put into a box where all your sigils are kept and make a whole bunch of sigils for different purposes. This doesn't need to be done in a short time, either. It's best if you gather up a bunch over a longer course of time.
Step 3 - Charging the Sigil
When you have a enough sigils gathered to be unable to remember which each sigil is made for, take one at random, then look at it and study it. Don't try to remember what it's for, that's unimportant now. A good way to ensure that you can't remember what each one is made for, make them all in a similar style.
When you picked your sigil at random, focus on it really hard, and then keep the image in your mind. When you have the sigils image burned into your mind, out it back into your box and begin charging it.
There are many methods for charging it: orgasm, pain, extreme emotion, trance-inducing music, sensory overload, forced focus dance, and other activities that could either cause extreme exhaustion or trance-like states through complete fall under the category of "Exhibitionary" while meditation, trance, yoga, and any other calm activity including extreme boredom are classified as "Inhibitionary."
Basically, you want to draw energy while keeping your sigil's image in your mind as long as possible, especially at the climax of charging.
The best thing about sigils is that they're all personal, so you can add in your own steps, or develop your own methods. You could even keep a journal if you want and record your progress, It's all up to you. There's alot of freedom with sigil-making, which makes it an easy magic to learn and master.
